Based on this, the first game this week will commence between the Gunners and the Devils at 6:30

There will be a 1/2 hour break after the first match, and the winner from the first match will play the Spurs for the final at 8:00

Here are the final standings for the 2009 / 2010 Owen Sound Adult Indoor Soccer League.

The match ups for the playoffs are as follows.

There will be no games next week (february 25th 2010) as stated on the schedule. But check back often as the team schedule for the playoffs will be announced once the final point totals have been tallied.

In the meantime, remember to keep in mind your picks for the “Best Team Player”….more information will be posted in the week ahead.

All the games for this thursday (February 4th 2010) have been moved to the Shallow Lake Community Church. This is due to West Hill painting their lines in the east gym.

The game times are the same (6:30, 7:30, 8:30 start times) and there are change rooms located in the facility.

I will be emailing everyone on the distribution list, but please pass this message on to anyone else involved.

Games have been cancelled for tonight (Jan 28th 2010) due to the weather conditions.

Due to the restructuring of the Blue Water board for the booking of the West Hill gym, I haven’t been able to get a straight answer on whether there is a basketball game this coming thursday.

I’ve been told it’s a possibility….

If everyone could show up at the regular time we can hope that the regular game times will go as scheduled. If not, it could mean the games would be pushed back each by 1/2 hour.

6:30 -> 7:00 start

7:30 -> 8:00 start

8:30 -> 9:00 start

The card entitles the cardholder to:

1/2 price wings every Thursday after the game and 15% off any time they come in.  They can use the discount for themselves and one other person.  The card expires on March 10, 2010.

Just wanted to thank everyone for joining the league, and I’m impressed at the how great the games are, not only to play in, but exciting to watch as well.

Again, I can’t stress this enough, the whole reason the league was established was to give adults a place to play futsal in a non-competitive, fun atmosphere. Respect your teammates and the opponents, and hopefully this league will continue to grow.

I would like to take a moment and mention that the last game tonight (between the Hammers and Spurs) was especially exciting. A true game of futsal at it’s finest level. Each team played a tight defensive game, which was the result of no goals for other side for the majority of the 1st half. Things started to open up in the 2nd when the Hammers pushed forward scoring a few unanswered goals.

It wasn’t until the departure of Drew Dinsmore during the 2nd half that the Spurs made a respectable comeback, bagging a few of their own. I personally saw this as the TSN turning point, and had to question the reason of Drew’s absense… it was the last night for Micheal Jackson’s “This is It” at the Galaxy…this couldn’t be missed by Drew Dinsmore, who truly is a fan among fans.

Make sure to check the Team Rosters from time to time, since team balancing may occur over the period of the season. We will do our best to contact any players involved in a trade, but if everyone could keep an eye on the site for changes, it would be appreciated.

Additions and moves have been made to team, please take a look and be aware for the upcoming games. New shirts will be provided to transferred players at the next game.
