Just a friendly reminder of the basic rules and player conduct we expect everyone to follow:
- No Slide Tackling (this includes the keeper)
- Respect ALL players / referees, treat your teammates and opponents as you would like to be treated.
- No foul language towards players / referees / spectators
- Play for the “Fun of it” Remember, it’s just a game, lets take it easy out there.

Anyone who does not abide by the following rules could result in removal from the league.
“The best teams have chemistry. They communicate with each other and they sacrifice personal glory for the common goal.”

That is great advice. Last week our game got pretty heated and players from both teams were being aggressive with each other. It all stemmed from one team (or both) not being aware of the rules- for example pulling players from another team to fill your roster even though they’re were enough players to field a team already. If we are making exemptions with the offical rules I think they should written out somewhere to prevent further confusion.
After 7+ games, the conduct on the field, in my opinion, has improved. The first few games were rough and too aggressive. Many of the best players are now focusing on team play and helping out team mates improve instead of winning the game at all cost. We all still need to be reminded that this league is supposed to be fun and the score will take care of itself. Also, Wally Illman’s reffing has been very good. He keeps the game competitive but safe for all players. Please continue to have him ref the adults.
