2018 Outdoor Season Underway

This is not the world cup sign

We’re starting into the 2nd week of the season and we’d like to point out a few things beforehand.

  • No slide tackling or physical contact of any kind is permitted. Any form of slide tackling will be carded accordingly. Physical contact will receive stricter penalties
  • All players must wear shin guards
  • Treat all teammates, opposition, referees, volunteers and spectators with courtesy and respect at all times.

We want everyone to have a great time, at no point do we want any player to feel the need to quit due to the treatment from other players.

Always Remember….

This is a game, the referee’s are human, this is not the world cup.

Please take the time to read the other rules / code of conduct found here

Uniforms

If you didn’t get a chance to pickup your uniform, team captains should have any “leftovers” to distribute.

Balls

There are 3 bags of balls located in the ball locker / shed behind the clubhouse. Your team captains will have the code to the locker and will therefore retrieve one bag per field (with approx 12 balls in each bag) for warmup for both teams before the match.

In each bag there is a ball marked “game ball”, give this ball to ref before warm-up, as it is intended for use during the match.

Please help gather the balls up in the ball bag after the last game, to be placed back in the ball locker. Once all 3 bags are placed in the locker, please lock it up.

Score Submission

Remember to submit the scores after the game, the winning team (captains mainly – but if not them, an alternative) should be doing this. You can submit it here:

Player Subs

Remember, if you’re going to miss a game (or games) and your team could use a sub – use the “Team Pools” to find someone to fill in.

Jewelry

Remember – Watches, Bracelets, Rings, Earrings, nose studs, piercings, bobby pins, hair clips, bandanas, wide headbands (non breakable), etc are not to be worn by any player.

If you have a medical bracelet, etc, you must tape it down securely.

Any of these items could be a catch hazard, causing harm to others or the player themselves. During a challenge, while heading a ball, a hair clip or bobby pin could poke an eye or cause a cut.

Even something as innocent as a smooth wedding band becomes a serious issue if the finger gets broken from a fall or when struck by the ball…. once the finger is broken the ring will constrict the finger when it swells up and it will be cut off at the hospital.
