How will teams be determined?
Most players already know one another from Futsal, so how do you prevent “stacking”?
How do you integrate players with little experience and make them feel included?
Will you be publishing the rules?

Thanks

The teams are determined by the committee who manages the league. Each player is assigned a skill level and based on that “rating” the teams are balanced based on a final total score. Later in the season, we may adjust / move players from team to team if things become uneven, but we’ve been lucky so far and teams seem for the most part, to be evenly matched. (This hopefully answers the “stacking” question)

We have had quite a few new players to the outdoor (and indoor this year) league, and we do our best to continue to push the motto of the recreational philosophy that it’s all for fun. (everyone has to work the next morning, no need to take things too seriously and get hurt, or hurt someone else) We also do our best to assign new players with teammates who possess team-building skills and are able to help these new players.

How late into the season can some one sign up, i have a few friends who may want to join, as well as my self but we are in school and wont be home until the summer

Hello I am interested in signing up for the 2010 season do I need Shin Pads and soccer shoes to play outdoors it is gonna be my first time and when does it start so I can hand in my registration with payment
Regards:Patrick

Registration will end April 30th. But the actual season won’t start until late May (or possibly early June, depending on field conditions)
If you want to play, get your registrations in ASAP, since once the rosters are full, anyone after will be on a waiting list.

Yes, we require all players to wear shin pads. I would also recommend soccer shoes, especially since you can get a decent pair around the $50 mark. We need registrations in BEFORE April 30th, but as stated above, once the teams are full, a waiting list will commence.

Was interested in joining as a first time player and was wondering what the average age of the players are typically…

Last year we had a range of players, anywhere from 18 – 60. But I would say on average, the range being somewhere between mid 20’s to late 30’s.
